Synopsis

The central focus of the series is upon a group of malevolent carnivorous aliens from outer space, called Crites, or Critters, that have the ability to roll into balls (cf. hedgehogs) and combine into a pernicious sphere that can roll across the landscape and cause mayhem. In appearance, the individual Crites resemble small furry/spiky animals with large mouths and many sharp teeth. Throughout the movies they attack humans by biting and attempting to eat them, or at least a piece of them. The spikes on their backs can be launched as projectiles (render the victim unconscious). The coloration of the Crites varies between black, brown and navy blue. In the original film they were also able to grow to a much larger size, although this ability was dropped for the sequels.

A Kansas farm is attacked by a hoard of hungry flesh-eating monsters
from outer-space with razor sharp teeth and a witty attitude! The
family who inhabit the farm must seek the help of a local drunk
and his critter-fighting bounty hunting pals before its too late.

Critters 2  Sharevid
The flesh-eating fur-balls from outer space are back for a second
outing and this time its an even bigger problem as the nearby
community of Grover's Bend become the latest course! It's just
as well those bounty-hunting hero's are back to save the day!
But as the residents are already dropping by the mouthful, it
seems as if this time the critters have won. Too bad!

Critters 3  Sharevid
First they destroyed a farm. Then they terrorized a town. Now
they're ready to do some real damage! The residents of a
shoddy L.A. apartment block are chased up to the roof by
hoards of the eponymous hairy horrors.

Critters 4  Sharevid
Just before bounty hunter Charlie triggers his gun to destroy
the last two Critter-eggs, he gets a message that it would be
illegal to extinguish the race from the galaxy. He's sent a
transporter where he puts the eggs - unfortunately the transporter
takes him with it and then gets lost in space. After 53 deep-frozen
years, he's found by a private wreckage collector team under the
unscrupulous Rick. On behalf of the mighty company Terracor they
bring him to an empty space station - but Rick is curious and
opens the box... so Charlie has work again, to keep the Critters
from eating everybody.
